A large piece of brown Oak from the National Trust property at Wallington, Northumberland, The heartwood had split on felling and these splits and cracks can be seen across the bowl. They have all been filled using a mixture of glue and sawdust. The bowl has been hand turned and sanded to a smooth finish, sealed and finally polished using a natural wax polish.

The bowl is approx. 15” in diam. with the highest part of the rim being 4” high and the lowest 2”.

Being finished with wax the bowl is suitable for dry goods only.
