Acacia bowl with bark
What a brilliant wood to turn. It cuts nicely, gives a good finish and has a great colour and grain.
This piece has been turned to show the different colourings present in the heartwood, sapwood and bark. The top of the rim of the bowl shows the shape of the outer surface of the tree and the small base has been left quite chunky to provide stability.
Hand finished using natural wax polish the sheen gives this bowl a lovely warm feel.
Approx. sizes 10" diam x 5" high.
