Natural edged Oak burr

£52.00
sold out

This oak burr was bought from a yard on the outskirts of Harrogate along with a number of others. It turned out to be full of oak bark beetle which meant that my first job was to remove all the bark and thus most of the beetle. Whilst turning many of the other beetles were removed with the final few being removed by hand once the turning was complete.

The bowl is hand finished using a natural wax polish and has been treated to ensure that any other grubs within the wood have been killed to prevent any surprises !

The photos show the worm holes but also the underside of the bowl detailing the large knot in the base of the bowl.

Approx. sizes 11" x 13" x 2.5" high.

*Suitable for dry goods only.
