'Square' Edged Laburnum Bowl

Laburnum, one of my favourite woods to turn. It always surprises with it colour or grain & this piece is no exception. the colours range from cream through to a dark olive green tinged brown.
This unique piece has bark on two of the four top edges showing where the outside of the trunk was. The cream coloured sapwood beautifully sets off the dark heartwood. The piece has been hand turned and then hand finished using a Danish Oil to give a lovely deep shine.
The bowl its self is approx. 8 inches in diameter with the overall size being approx. 8.5” overall X 2.5” in height.
